Dr. Angela Kennedy's work in Trauma Informed Approaches has created a context in which new leaders are emerging and thriving. Over the last five years, especially, the initiatives she has spearheaded have altered how mental health professionals talk about trauma and its centrality in the lives of all who come in contact with mental health services. Additionally, her focus on vicarious trauma in professionals, the prevalence of PTSD, and the experience of moral injury has resulted in innovative approaches to staff well-being. I am truly impressed, and always inspired.
